FAQ
(1) Question: Is this program for the complete beginner?
Answer: Yes, our teaching model is for students who have never surfed before. Everyone is guaranteed to stand up! Students who have advanced skills will be placed into advanced groups within the class.
(2) Question: Is there a swim test?
Answer: No. All students are required to know how to swim.
(3) Question: Do you provide the surfing equipment?
Answer: Yes, we provide soft safe surfboards and skimboards. Rashguards are available for an additional fee.
(4) Question: Do you provide lunch?
Answer: No. All students need to pack a lunch, snacks and plenty of fluids for camp snack breaks.
(5) Question: What if it rains?
Answer: We have access to park structures that protect us during thunderstorms.
(6) Question: Are there bathrooms?
Answer: Yes, all of our parks have public bathrooms with showers. Our amenities are right next to where we surf. Don't worry, there are no long walks to bathrooms, showers, or shelter.
(7) Question: Is there a lost and found?
Answer: Yes, however, all unclaimed items will be donated on the Saturday of every week if no one claims them.
(8) Question: Can my student bring their own surfboard to camp?
Answer: Yes, if the board meets all of Aloha's safety standards. Call 561-543-SURF to find out.
(9) Question: Is there covered space on the beach?
Answer: Yes, we have a 10'x10' covered camp area on the beach.
(10) Question: How do I register my child for camp?
Answer: You can register and pay online with a credit card or download the registration form and mail it in with a check to: 701th Ct P.B.G. FL 33410
(11) Question: Does Aloha Surfing School have proper insurance and park permits?
Answer: Yes, we carry surf camp permits with the park and have a completely insured surf school and watersports camp operation.
(12) Question: What happens if I signed up and need to cancel?
Answer: There will be a 50% penalty if you need payment by check, cash, or credit. You can receive a 100% credit to apply to any of our weekly surf camp sessions.
(13) Question: What happens if surf camp gets canceled by intense weather conditions, for example Tropical Storms?
Answer: The student can make up the day during any of our regular surfing weeks.
(14) Question: What do I need to bring to camp?
Answer: Flip flops, sunscreen, snacks, lunch, fluids, and snorkeling gear (when announced).
(15) Question: Are there lifeguards on the beach?
Answer: Yes, there are county lifeguard towers right next to our camp. Our staff is also C.P.R. Red Cross certified.
